Just so you know I'm not taking about the fruit actually I like bananas but only if they aren't completely brown then they are just gross cause they get to mushy for my tastes. What I'm talking about is P90X or should I call it now P180X cause there is no way in hell I can do this everyday and still function. Just last week I was complaining about not being able to sit down. To sit was painful that wasn't very relaxing I might add. But I am trying really hard not to give up and not to complain and if you really know me I LOVE to complain. I got this ability from my Mom she is the queen and I am the princess. But I'm moving up in the ranks.
But anyways the banana is an exercise move that uses all of your core muscles. Ones that I didn't know existed till this last week I might add :) You lay on the floor with your arms at an angle above your head your legs are together and raised so that you look like a banana. You start on your back and hold the pose for five seconds then move to your side still keeping your arms up and legs up then you move to your stomach and then the other side. I felt like a fish out of water flopping around on the floor. My husband did it first because we don't have a lot of room to do it together and I laughed so hard I almost peed myself. I wish I would have had a video of him doing it. Heck a video of us doing any of the exercises would probably win us millions on America's most funniest home videos. :) I think I've burned more calories laughing at how out of shape we are then actually doing the work outs. So if you want a good laugh come on by our house around 9 at night that's when we put the dvd on and work out. Well off I go to exercise.
Love this post!!! I know superman/banana very well....and it does hurt like heck...especially when you are dog tired from the rest of the workout!
